Here’s a simple breakdown of the EB-5 Green Card process:

Investment Requirements

To qualify for the EB-5 Program, you must make an investment in a U.S. business. The required amount depends on whether the investment is in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or non-TEA:

  • $800,000 for investments in TEAs (areas with higher unemployment or rural regions).
  • $1.05 million for investments in non-TEAs (more developed, lower unemployment areas).
Additional Requirements:
  • Job Creation: The investment must create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers within two years.
  • At Risk: Your investment must be at risk in the U.S. economy and should be used to support a business that creates jobs.

TEA vs. Non-TEA

A Targeted Employment Area (TEA) is a region with high unemployment or a rural area. If you invest in a project located in a TEA, the required investment is only $800,000.

Why TEAs Matter:
  • Discounted investment: TEAs offer a lower investment amount, which means you can access the benefits of the EB-5 program at a more affordable price.
  • Eligible areas: We focus on projects in high-unemployment areas, ensuring you can invest in a TEA and take advantage of this lower threshold.
  • In contrast, Non-TEA projects require an investment of $1.05 million. These are usually areas with lower unemployment rates or more developed urban centers.
